Dick Cheney is a former chief of the staff of a President, he served in Congress as well as the secretary of defense. It's clear that he is a man with integrity, who has the respect of all Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney says he sees his role in the administration as that of an open and honest adviser to Bush. In accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney said that he is looking forward to working with one who can work to get things done by engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians to achieve a mutual goals. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941 at Lincoln Nebraska. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family relocated from Nebraska to Casper where his dad was the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
