April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar, and also taking piano lessons which ignited her interest in writing songs. When she was 12 years old, April wrote her first tune Different. The year she turned 14 was when she committed a large amount of time in writing music ideas and practicing musical skills. After that, she started taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. April started to include other subjects in the book, Take My Hand, for the people in her life who are struggling issues with bullying, disabilities and even suicide. Lockhart works in partnerships at the well-known clean beauty brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle blogger with her own growing fan base. Lockhart was born without a left hand, and it's an aspect of her identity, but it's far from the entirety of her story. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't focus solely on the condition. The main message? The message is that we are more than simply our physical body. Our identities are complex and include a myriad of aspects. It's not my intention to let that make me feel like I'm to become a person who is a disability-related influencer where that's all I talk about since there are numerous other aspects of me Lockhart shares her thoughts via video from her home in Nashville. My everyday life isn't directly affected by disability. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover the solutions I have for my problems. It's also part of me which is why I think it's important that we talk about. Self-acceptance runs for life however Lockhart is truly an inspiration regarding this issue. Still, she admits going through various phases in relation to her body. She felt unsure about certain clothes which showed her arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. Also, she uploads her photos on social media. The journey itself is the one thing I'm not aware of that you ever arrive with self-love, she claims. It's a trip, but I'm not convinced that you will ever get there. It's essential to have those in your life who know and are able to understand. They will help you remind yourself of what you are worried about.
