Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. In the course of playing this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was a child, which instilled a love of performing and theater.
Fischer was a theatre actress trained in her native country. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. Her role was later reprised at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at Old Globe Theatre. The Office actress Angela Kinsey, Fischer's real-life friend and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became hugely popular and ranked within the Top Ten of the world every week. The podcast received more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019, won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
She has written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her path to Hollywood as a working actor, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were There, which is a story of the greatest friendship they had and their time on The Office.
